Japanese Print Identification, Research, & Cataloging

From a single work to a large collection, Madison will empower you to understand your collection of Japanese woodblock prints. She will research, assess condition and quality, catalog, and contextualize her findings in an accessible format that allows you to make informed decisions. Madison both in-person and online Japanese woodblock print identification services.

Digital Identification

Send clear photographs of the front, back, and any relevant details of the work - the better the photographs, the better Madison will be able to assess your print. She will prepare a report for you and return it to you by email.

In-Person Identification

Reach out to arrange an in-person consultation. With this service, Madison’s physical inspection of the artwork will allow her to provide her opinion of authenticity and an assessment of condition. Following the inspection appointment she will present her findings report to you by email.

Please note any value ranges offered with these identifications are informal opinions based on the limitations of the physical assessment of the piece and the market for that work at the moment of inspection. These ranges are not offered in Madison’s capacity as an appraiser and thus do not constitute an appraisal.
